AMP1 Iridium Edition - Expert Features
SWITCHING THE SPEAKER SIMULATION ON/OFF
Make sure the AMP1 Iridium Edition is in Standard Mode, and there is no REMOTE1 and no MIDI1 connected to the external foot switch jack. Press and hold the middle foot switch [BOOST]. Once you see it blink once, you can toggle between SPEAKER SIMULATION ON and OFF using the left foot switch, while you keep holding the middle foot switch [BOOST]. Restarting the unit will not reset or change the status of the SPEAKER SIMULATION, meaning this is a global function for all your presets and settings on AMP1 Iridium Edition.
PRESETS
STORE PRESETS
You can store three sounds to the AMP1's three internal foot switches. For editing and storing them, you have to operate in Normal Mode. Select your desired sound, e.g. VINTAGE with BOOST and REVERB. Then hold down the right foot switch [REVERB] for three seconds until it starts flashing. Now, by pressing down on one of the three foot switches, you can store your sound to that foot switch. Repeat this procedure for adding two more sounds to the two remaining foot switches.
SWITCHING THE FX-LOOP ON/OFF
While you are in Standard Mode, press and hold the middle foot switch [BOOST] for 3 seconds, and toggle with the right foot switch [REVERB] between FX-LOOP on/off. With this feature, your 3 internal presets will automatically switch the FX-LOOP on/off for each preset.
PRESET MODE
Press and hold the right foot switch [REVERB] while switching on your AMP1 Iridium Edition: The Preset Mode holds 3 presets on the internal foot switches that hold your settings of CHANNEL, BOOST on/off, REVERB on/off and FX-LOOP on/off. For programming presets, please consult the AMP1 manual, page 91. To get back to Standard Mode, switch the AMP1 Iridium Edition off, then press and hold the right foot switch [REVERB] while switching on your AMP1 Iridium Edition again.
STARTUP MODES
HALF POWER MODE
Press and hold the left foot switch while you switch your AMP1 Iridium Edition on: The output power is reduced to 50W, which enables you to play a 60W cabinet at full NANOTUBE saturation. To get back to Full Power Mode, you need to perform a factory reset.
LOW GAIN MODE
Press and hold the middle foot switch [BOOST] while you switch your AMP1 Iridium Edition on: The gain is reduced on all channels to get authentic sounds similar to using the "low" input on vintage amps. To get back to Full Gain Mode, you need to perform a factory reset.
INDIVIDUAL CHANNEL GAIN
INDIVIDUAL CHANNEL-GAIN WITH REMOTE1
For individual gain adjustment on each channel, connect the REMOTE1 to the AMP1 Iridium Edition. Select your channel on REMOTE1 and set the gain as usual by holding BOOST on the REMOTE1 (blinking) and set the desired value with the knob on the REMOTE 1. Store the channel's gain by holding the middle foot switch [BOOST] on the AMP1 Iridium Edition for 3 seconds and then store this value to the AMP1 Iridium Edition by pressing the right foot switch [REVERB].
To apply these individual gain settings per channel, you have to switch the AMP1 Iridium Edition to Low Gain Mode: https://youtu.be/Ez_i5kIWBSQ
SWITCHING THE FX LOOP ON/OFF VIA MIDI
In a MIDI setup when using the MIDI1 adapter, FX-LOOP on/off can be set with CC40. In case your MIDI setup cannot send control changes, we offer a workaround: unplug your MIDI1 adapter, press and hold the middle foot switch [BOOST] for 3 seconds, and then toggle the FX-LOOP on/off using the right foot switch [REVERB]. Then plug your MIDI1 adapter back in and save your preset via MIDI LEARN.
INDIVIDUAL GAIN & POWERSOAK VIA MIDI
Connect your MIDI controller to the AMP1 Iridium Edition with the MIDI1 and a MIDI cable. Use your MIDI controller to dial in the amount of GAIN/POWERSOAK you'd like to store. Press and hold the right foot switch [REVERB]. When you see it blink once, press the left foot switch (the right foot switch [REVERB] will blink 2x) for storing POWERSOAK or press the middle foot switch [BOOST] (the right foot switch [REVERB] will blink 1x) for storing GAIN of the selected channel.
